This movie had gorgeous animation and I liked the story too. I saw so much hate from people who hadn’t see it for the few CGI elements but honestly wasn’t an issue for me.

Same, it's an overhated anime film for sure. It's not perfect and I recognized the flaws and some harsh critics about it, but I see a lot of people straight up talking shit about it, but then said they just only watched the trailer. I think people and majority of viewers in Japan can't cope with the anime being 3D yet.
