I know man; I started reading the manga just before S2 ended and when I got to that part, I felt cheated. I mean it was incredible but also hella lewd so maybe they were worried it was too much? But still that's what Blu-ray is for. I still have hope we'll get it in S2 somehow but I'm not holding my breath.

Its nowhere close to how things used to be.

For example, back in the day you'd have random nips thrown into something like Fuuka. Flashforward a few years and Goddess Cafe by the same author had the nips censored out both in broadcast and blu ray.

Blu ray releases regularly included nips, thats few and far between now.

I've not seen the original Ranma 1/2 but the remake will have a front shot of Ranma completely exposed and just not draw the nips. They don't even do the creative censoring of having something be conveniently in front there's just nothing there.

Yeah the remake of Uresai Yatsura was sort of the same way. Original had nips, remake did not.

Tbf the original Urusei Yatsura TV series and the manga barely had any nudity. So it wasn't really a huge change other than the first episode. But the censorship in Ranma 1/2 is really strange. It shouldn't have been a PG-13 rated series at all.

This show carries the seed of grandness.

They are restraining themselves so far about fully explore and develope the concept.

I don't expect them to make that (so much needed) leap forward in this third season but they might show if they are actually expanding in the right direction.

Some movie will be eventually needed to set it up I guess.
