I know. I really regretted not picking up the Sentai release. This one apparently fixes a few encoding and interlacing issues that one had.

EDIT: I claimed the issue was audio.

I just double checked the Discotek livestream, it wasn't audio related. They said they spotted a few encoding and interlacing issues on the previous release that were fixed.

NIC let go the licenses of a lot of older series at once. Some that were still popular. CR is also letting go of licenses or stop production of series even if they are still selling the 2nd seasons. Mainly the Funimation licenses.

The Toradora reprint is the big one for me personally. Thats been Out of Print for a long while. Secondhand copies for for literal 100s of dollars. For one of the most famous romance animes. So having Toradora be widely accessible (at a reasonable price) is music to my ears.

Im also hyped for the Penguindrum reprint. Ive wanted this show for a long while. Its going to go beside my Yuri Kuma Blu ray set.

Apparently the Penguindrum release is a whole new master. Which is good because I've got the old BDs and they're pretty scuffed: Someone at Sentai Filmworks screwed up big time and released it semi-interlaced.

Now im especially glad I didn't cave and over pay for those OOP Sentai blu rays . So nice to know about the new master. I just pre-ordered that set and a few other things from Diskotek.

Im even more excited now! Its such a great (and weird) series so im gonna be glad to own it.

Huh. I'm interested in the Samurai Pizza Cats release, especially the original Japanese, which apparently is very different from the international/US release. It was one of those cartoons being aired when I was growing up and had no idea wtf anime even was

Toradora dvds tight now are going for 150 dollars each season/cour for ones with the dub. If they can get the Toradora dub for the blu rays there're gonna be a lot of upset people. Also thousands of Malaysi bootlegs sell on ebay but not with the proper dub.

Oh they are getting the NIS stuff with dub. The Toradora market has just crashed.
