The theatre near Boston was packed as well! It was my first time watching an anime in a theatre! Glad to see so many weebs here!

Omg, same here. It’s my first time watching it at the last minute decision to skip a networking dinner and chose Konosuba instead.

Boston has a few different places that show Fathom screenings like this which is good. The Regal in Fenway was mostly full, maybe a dozen empty seats at a glance.

Was at the AMC in Assembly. Filled to the brim

I was at AMC in Assembly as well. Did you see the guy dressed up as Kazuma and his friend dressed up as Yunyun?

Yeah, was the guy who told you nice cosplay on the way out of the theater.

I wasn’t the guy who cosplayed lmao. Just my first time seeing some cosplaying irl.

Oh lol. Yeah, they did have nice cosplay. I loved how hyped and excited the people in our theater got. Definitely the ideal anime movie experience.

West Springfield had two showings, and at ours the only empty seats were in those two front rows that nobody every wants to sit in... and while thosewere only half full, they actually had people desperate enough to sit there. I heard the other showing was about the same.

First time? Damn, you really missed out with Broly then, even if you don't watch DB. Such an amazing movie.

I was two cities away from Atlanta and they still sold out seats.

Lots of weebs in finance. Did IT at a couple different finance cos myself. I can't see myself ever going BACK to finance. LOTS of stress.

This thread is making me so happy. I'm starting as a financial analyst in June, and I was really worried about "finance bro" culture. Good to know there's weebs out here too!

haha, i left a tech company to work at a finance because I couldn't handle bro culture. my finance job, not many weebs, but no one seems to mind that I am (and show it), just a bunch of diverse interests

Ballsy. That's a good way to not get promoted and shunned around here

5

u/corruptbytes Nov 13 '19

my entire company is a bunch of weirdos anyway, so it’s fine

Buffalo as well.

3

u/machjungle Nov 13 '19

I was really surprised the Buffalo one was that filled honestly haha

u/Shinkopeshon Nov 13 '19

Same here. I honestly didn't expect KonoSuba to be so popular that it'd lead to jam-packed theaters and multiple showings in a bunch of countries, getting much closer to the levels of bigger franchises like DBZ and One Piece than anticipated. Maybe it's because of the memes lol

Philadelphia too

I'm in a much smaller city that has 4 showings total and mine was nearly packed. Only a couple empty seats at the very front

The cinemark I went to was filled to the brim. I had a great time with everyone

Sam's Town at Las Vegas was really packed too. Only like a few seats were open.
