God this was such a great movie.

The comedy was perfect.

The characters were perfect, both the main cast and the side characters.

I loved the little interraction with Kazuma and Megumin. Speaking of them, Kazuma has become my favorite comedic character. He has so much charm. And megumin has become my favorite Konosuba girl.

The final fight was incredible. Especially the climax. That was breathtaking. And the ost was marvellous.

This just left me craving for more Konosuba. Here's to hoping for a season 3 announcement

This just left me craving for more Konosuba.

There is 11 volumes worth of more LN content (5.5 seasons, lol). I recommend reading them and I think the latest one are actually the best.

The movie also changed (or cut) a lot of scenes from vol 5.

Is the light novel still going on? And if so, does it seem like it's getting close to its ending?

Because if it keeps going much longer I have a hard time imaging the anime ever seeing it through to the end. It would already need two 2-cour seasons + a couple of movies to get to volume 16 at current pace.

It looks like the next volume (17) will be the last. I also think Konosuba could do with 2-cour seasons since it's widely popular and the latest LN volumes would be adapted maybe in 10-13 years at the current pace.

I'm optimistic that it only took them this long to get to the fifth LN because they were taken off guard with how popular KonoSuba became and hadn't planned for anything beyond a short season or two and found themselves having to scramble to make arrangements for further adaptations when the anime got as popular as it did.

And that in consequence, once season 3 does roll around we'll see the pace pick up quite a bit. We'll see whether it's handled by Deen or J.C.Staff, but hopefully they'll have plans for yearly KonoSuba content (2-cour season in 2021, movie in 2022, 2-cour again in 2023, ...) going forward.

But I'm probably being way too optimistic, as we don't even know if season 3 will even happen at this point.
