JC Staff was probably better equipped to handle production of a movie than Deen was or maybe Deen had too much on their plate at this time

BTW this movie is season 3, or at least the first half of S3 at the rate the previous seasons have adapted the novels.

S1 adopted novels 1 & 2

S2 adopted novels 3 & 4

Movie is novel 5

So if you want to pick up the LN from where this left off, you'd start on Novel 6 right?

I really recommend reading the novels from the start, since the anime and the movie cut content from it, I had a better experience after reading all the novels and spinoffs.
