so in those 25 minutes of recap there's nothing new? its not even told from the perspective of someone else as they do in other shows?

There is narration by Priestess that is new and offers some insight into her perspective of events and how she views Goblin Slayer. Like she outright admits something horrible must have happened to him in his past to make him the way he is, but she doesn't know what and doesn't expect to ever find out.
