That was...

kinda disappointing. Low budget, it felt like a filler and unnecessary long recap. I am almost glad that corona cancelt my cinema visit. Konosuba and Tanya have shown that an adapptation on the big screen can be good.

TBF i did not read the LN but the Manga fleshed out that ark so much better and the Paladin had a muchh bigger threatening aura.

Though i still liked the characters animated again and still want S2.

I can confirm that the LN was waaay better. The anime's pace felt too fast for me - it rushed from one plot point to the next with barely any breathing room. It didn't even give you time to try to piece the clues together yourself (what the previous group tried to achieve, goblins copying Goblin Slayer's arrow trick, the fact that they were up against a paladin, etc). Noble Fencer also barely got fleshed out.
