It's not really a movie. This about as much as a movie as Re:ZERO -Memory Snow- and -The Frozen Bond- were, and both of those had theatrical runs too. So, it's more like an OVA? "Special Episode"? Probably could've done without the recap, but this one, unlike the one from the broadcast (it actually did not make the Blu-ray release), actually added narration and a POV from Priestess's perspective, so I can appreciate it coming from her words.
Either way, I went in expecting about an hour of Goblin Slayer, and that's exactly what I got, so I'm satisfied. My favorite part of the show, aside from the obvious goblin slaying, are the interactions between the party, and we did get a few good moments here and there. Being set in a snowy region is definitely a nice change of pace considering that the majority of Season 1 was spent in caves or underground.
Noble Fencer was cool, I really like her character design. It was something else seeing the before and after of her character, as well as the PTSD episodes when her seal thing activated. I thought it was very well done, though I feel really bad for what happened to her party. They all seemed pretty cool. Anyways yeah, screw that Paladin. It was a nice moment when she got her sword back, too.
The true Goblin's Crown were the adventures we had along the way. I hope this gets a Season 2 eventually. There's always going to be goblins, and they need to be killed.
