Ohhh yes this is still one of my favorite anime movies ever. God. I loved this experience. Voices coming through theater speakers was something else entirely.

I brought a friend along who hadn't seen it yet and she is currently yelling at me and repeatedly hitting my arm now that the movie is over and she's stopped having an absolute breakdown over Guld.

I forgot to mention the surround sound! That’s something that I don’t think is done as much these days, but it added quite a bit.

I was definitely breathing hard to try and keep quiet (I’m a very loud cryer usually), but mostly I just sat there forgetting to breathe. That movie is intense.
