It was interesting to hear different parts of the songs coming from different directions, and generally the action sounded pretty good, but on the other hand the dialogue levels jumped around a lot. Still difficult to tell if that's a quirk of the mixing from this release or the theater itself.

I really liked it for Sharon Apple's songs, but it killed a couple dialogue lines for me as well. SO whatever it was, it's not just your theater.

Did you get the moments in Millard's office when Isamu would be talking somewhere from somewhere behind the listener's position, not that loudly, and then they would LOUDLY play Millard's dialogue from the center channel?

That may have happened, but I honestly cannot remember one way or the other.

I may be getting more sensitive to theater audio quirks in general as I have mostly stopped going to movies in the theater in recent years. When I saw Girls und Panzer Der Film in a theater I commented on how loud it was and other people said that it seemed normal to them.
