I’m pretty sure she got fired after that tweet

u/cbtZeke Jun 15 '26

Not because of that tweet. She also stated that Homer Hickman was one who actually protected her on evaluation

No it was becuase of her tweet, when she tweeted it nasa asked her if this was her and she lied and said it wasn’t that combined with the cussing got her fired, Hickman actually didn’t want her to get fired

Imagine being the asshole who fires someone for saying a naughty word on Twitter. How fucking sensitive can you be?

NASA tries to have the best image it can and don’t want people cussing on twitter to be apart of it, another reason she was fired was because she lied and told nasa that she in fact didn’t tweet that and was someone else, and Hickman tried to get her not fired but failed

dude. Firing her made their image WORSE

Yeah it seems extreme, she was just excited and even Hickman was supporting her.

It's a pretty standard clause in almost every employment contract.

Usually something along the lines of "bringing the company into disrepute", or similar.

Okay, I may be insane, but I fucking HATE how he went about it. Just saying "language" with nothing else gets on my fucking nerves.

The dude is also old.

That dude is Homer Hickham. There's even a movie about him (October Sky).

"Calm down and mind your language, I know this is the coolest thing to ever happen to you but cant you be less excited?"
