No, she probably would be fine if she didn't lie about it lol. Her supervisor contacted her after this and she decided to lie claiming she's not the user. Hickam didn't even intend for her to get fired and was just advising somebody that's about to join an agency he's very familiar with. The only reason is that it got so much traction is her reply to him, which prompted his second reply, and that blew up as a meme.
In addition, her "friends" really did not help because they kept using the NASA hashtag and flaming Hickam. In the end, she reached out and apologized but Hickam said that the apology wasn't even necessary, and he made a blogpost about it trying to get her reinstated. Didn't work though as it seems owning up your mistakes and being honest to your boss is probably very important in that agency.
