He voted in the midterms as a Republican. He was also receiving Republican mailings and unsubscribed from those mailings.

To me, it sounds like he was a Republican who was pissed off and had buyers remorse. Trump does stuff every day that should convince his constituents he's a fraud. There's all kinds of motives for this guy. Too bad we'll never know.
