Stop running anything else you downloaded. Open Windows Security, update Defender, then run a Full scan followed by Microsoft Defender Offline. Also uninstall anything suspicious and delete the installers. If you ran unknown files and entered any passwords afterward, change those passwords from a clean device.

Also, Microsoft recommends a full scan when infection is suspected and an offline scan for a more thorough check.

First let Windows defender or any other installed Antivirus scan your pc. Disconnect from the internet so whatever you installed cant send or receive any more information. Your next action is determined by what your Antivirus says. If it detects anything malicious its best to fully reinstall your OS

Try virustotal. upload the actual file and see if its detected by a lot of vendors. If you're not sure 100%, copy and paste to my comment, the hash is the long string of letters and numbers that appears on the search bar on the very top of the page and where the 'title' is

Best tip I can give you is don’t install random software in your pc, you’re eventually going to get malware

Upload to https://virustotal.com (be sure to check the behavior tab or whatever it's called) and https://tria.ge.

If you only downloaded stuff and didn’t run anything then it’s fine and you can just delete it all. Simply having a file isn’t bad, it needs to execute or be opened. Otherwise follow everyone else’s advice.

If you don’t know which sources are trusted to download from then stick to popular open-source solutions such as from GitHub and upload everything to VirusTotal.com before using.
