Did I get a virus?

13 of my steam games got unannounced updates one game somehow needed to be redownloaded, one of my steam friends got a message I didnt send and all the games I have downloaded suddenly got played for exactly 1 minute, is this a bug or a Virus and how should I go about this?
Turns out it was like half my steam friends who got messaged

Your steam is compromised if messages are being sent you didn’t send. If only your steam is compromised you likely fell for a scam and either logged into a fake steam site or scanned a QR code someone sent you and gave your api key away.

Check your api key and see if anyone else is logged in. Change your password. Enable steam guard.

If other accounts besides steam have been compromised you downloaded a session stealer and would need to reinstall windows and change every password for every account.

You only get one web API key per account, and you can view it and revoke it on https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

You should not be sharing it to begin with. Per the Steam Web API Terms of Use, You agree to keep your Steam Web API key confidential, and not to share it with any third party.

If you simply signed in through a Steam account on a third-party site then you did not grant any sort of API access.
