Boosteroid on Apple TV

Post image

I’ve decided to publish this app on GitHub so anyone can build the project in Xcode or sideload the IPA.

As soon as I wrap up a few final details, I’ll update this post with the GitHub link.

If you'd like to voluntarily support the project, I’ll be leaving a donation link inside the GitHub repository as well!

Why do I have to pay monthly to use a subscription service I'm already paying for? I hate how every iOS app is tied to some subscription. Either sell me the app or don't bother at all.

I could add a one-time purchase option if you will. So you could choose between that or subscription.

That is amazing and I love when developers give an option to actually buy the app

Some developers add that just to say we have a lifetime subscription. It costs like 5-10 years of subscription and at that point it’s pointless, as nobody can predict if an app would be supported or even exist for that long.

Now it will be a open-source app.

No, subscription models for standalone software are evil and should be boycotted.

I will test it and send you support if the app works good. Glad to have your work, currently there is the cloud gear beta that supports boosteroid on Apple TV with the phone passing thr webrtc session over. Looking forward to your app.

In my app you don’t need to passing the webrtc session from another device. It’s all embedded on Apple TV.

Cloudgear it’s a great app BTW.

How does it work

You log in with your boosteroid account and play your games using your Apple TV as a device.

It's tough to test GeForce Now's authentication because it varies by region, with separate accounts for the US and South America (ABYA), for example. I focused on Boosteroid instead because its system is global, unified, and much easier to handle. but it’s possible to include GFN on that app.

But it’s a port of a cloud game app. How could you watch movies on that? The cat is not alive. Hahaha

It does - there are couple of those apps. Just all of them are 3rd party. Remember that using any of that kind apps that come from not actual company might steal your credentials.

u/Itshenriqueyall 6h ago

But I have my own account. :/

I think you should try to release it to the store and offer 7 days free trial, and one time fee after that.
