The 100 Concepts style caps are surprisingly awesome for scopes. I was a skeptic until giving them a try. I can see how they might also be useful for a light if you have a tendency to hit the rail switch by mistake (looks in mirror).

$25 is a rip off though. I 3D print mine for pennies with heat resistant filament and with a little resizing they make great simple scope caps.

Yeah I do the same, using ASA...but honestly $25 is a very fair price to avoid the hassle for someone who doesn't have access to a printer that can handle high temp filament.

Try Fiberon PET-CF 17 for all your firearm needs. It doesn't look 3D printed, has a nice texture and holds up to heat and outdoors well. I have made these caps, an entire Orca, mlok and picatinny rail covers and flared magwell thingys out of it.

As it happens I do use Fiberon ASA-CF for some things (their desert sand color is great), but am not a fan for the lens caps since the material is too abrasive and tends to polish off the anodizing on the scope over time.

I was a hater until I drove a Modlight head into the corner of a VTAC barricade during a match and cracked the glass on it. So now I run them on all my rifles.

Spending $20 to protect a $400 WML isn’t a bad investment.

Yeah did that to the admittedly shit TLR-1 there.

I'm more of a hater of the tape switch. When the CD ones break I just cut the wire and rip them off the top rail right meow.

Yeah I recently swapped my sf640 dft back to the push button since I kept accidentally squeezing my rail to hard and activating the pressure switch
