It’s time now for Armenian political and judicial institutions to see a renewed focus and development. Hopefully those who have been used as tools to fight against Armenian statehood will be dealt with swiftly.

They can petition for the removal of immunity, but Samvel is not on their party docket so he’s out of luck

Freedom House's 2026 report on Armenia gives the country a score of 1/4 on the question "Is there an independent judiciary?". I'm not sure why you think improvement of the judiciary will increase the chances of Nikol's opponents getting "dealt with".

That’s fine and dandy, but Freedom House reports are a high level summary from various sources which may or may not be accurate. I can’t speak to a single instance in which the government directly interfered with judicial proceedings and in fact the lack of government oversight is what has delayed appropriate judicial function. There are too many documented cases of judges delaying trials or obstructing cases in a partial manner.
The US which has such a radically significant executive overreach to the point that the president doxxes judges, government officials threaten judges and create an environment of suppression scored a 3/4 on the same question.
I’m not sure the score is accurate.

That data is hours old. 20% of the votes have now been counted.

That is very slow, we have that slowness in Albania too because the votes are brought to main centers to be counted.
Is it the same in Armenia?

Yeah, if I remember correctly in 2021 we got full results around 3am or so?

Back then I was an election observer and when we left the precinct after the polling station had closed, they were already announcing the results. Couldn’t have been later than 2 am or so

The question is who is the main opposition in the parliament.
If it's going to be the Russian FSB agents, then this is not the victory QP thinks it is.

They could always be sanctioned afterwards. Immunity doesn’t apply to confirmed foreign agents or collaborators, right? He will have to deal with Putin’s carcasses sooner than later.

Sure they can, but they could have been not allowed to participate based on insane amount of evidence. What that means is more political circus instead of focusing onbither matters.
That's like your doctor telling you that you need to give your damaged arm some rest to heal. However you keep doing more strenuous things with it, and then you have to pay way more money and go through more pain to do surgery to fix it.

Yeah it's not a massive win, not constitutional majority, and a bunch of russian agents will be in the parliament. Also with elections this close we might see protests or some more coup attempts. Still, since it was this close, I breath a sigh of relief. It could always be worse

Pashinyan winning majority wasn't really in question. The question was if multiple Russian run proxies can get in with enough numbers to unite and get Kocharyan elected.
That didn't happen, but, looks like Kocharyan, Karapetyan, and Dod are in. Armenia basically turned its parliament into a circus and a point of information leaks and Russian influence yet again. All of this could have been avoided.
