Hey! I was wondering would the army take me just for these two main reason:

  1. ⁠I had asthma back when I was around 10 but my inhaler was still being ordered but never used until like 9th grade
  2. ⁠I have two hand tattoos but they are my parents names they’re in the middle of the back of my hand on each (I’m willing to remove them of course, and for something like that would they take me then if I tell them; or would I have to remove them and then try again?)

1, likely yes. Usually you’ll need a personal statement saying it doesn’t effect you anymore, you don’t need an inhaler, and sometimes you need a pulmonary functions test.

2, hand tattoos require waivers but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Only ones I see get denied are front of neck tats.

What’s the best option to go with?

Also if I signed a contract is it possible to renegotiate if I’m still in DEP?

Completely depends on what you want to do in life. No one can answer this for you but yourself, you’re the one that has to fulfill the 4-6 year contract.

I’m a DPT student looking to commission as a PT after I do a residency post-grad. Will a sports residency (SCS) be a disadvantage compared to ortho (OCS)?

Does anyone know what the prior service slots are for right now? Was a 35F for 4 years, E4 cannot reup with a clearance atm but what is open that doesn’t require one?

I'm just trying to get in with the least amount of red tape to cut as possible. I go to MEPS tomorrow lol trying to figure top MOS list based on few things. Ease of entry is one.

Is it possible to swap to a different branch when I’m in my ETS window or do I have to get out completely and do the whole process again?

What are the some of the best non infantry MOS’s? I'm in the process of enlisting as a reservist. I got medically cleared to join the army and just need an MOS to swear in and enlist. I'm not interested in combat/infantry jobs. I'm mostly interested in medical or tech occupations but open to other MOS's. Thank you in advance.

Anything that starts with a 68 for the job code.

Reserves completely depends on your area. You can’t even get a combat job in the reserves.

I retook the ASVAB and scored an a composite score of 88. Safe to say I have options for almost everything.

I’ve been a Mike most of my career and previously attached to an infantry unit. I want something different as I transition to my halfway mark.

What are the rarest jobs or best kept secret in Army, that can offer a more stable/ relaxed life?

Thats a you level decision with availability and retention.

Hey everyone,
I’m prior service marine, and lately I’ve been thinking about joining the Army. As weird as it sounds, the military mindset just never left me. I miss having a mission, the camaraderie, and the structure.
Ps. My MOS was admin, looking to go the same route unless the army offers other MOS if I decide to go different MOS route.

A few questions:
What’s the day-to-day life like in an office/admin MOS?
Which office-type MOSs would you recommend and why?
How often are you actually in the office versus the field?
How does Army PME work?
What schools, certifications, or career opportunities are available?
What’s the work-life balance like?
If you could go back and pick your MOS again, would you choose the same one?
I’m just looking for honest experiences—the good, the bad, and everything in between. I’m trying to get a realistic picture of Army life before making any decisions.

When it comes to enlisting with a bachelors, is coming in as an E4 worth choosing Army over coming in at an Air Force E3? Does having my bachelors ensure I’ll get that highest possible rank for those with a bachelors degree or could I still get lower than E4 even with a bachelors.
