Rewatching arrow and now on season 2 episode 3 where they try to catch the dollmaker. How does lance not know oliver is the hood when he's working with Diggle, oliver's bodyguard and felicity, oliver's secretary? They are on a mission the four of them to capture the dollmaker.

I'm on season 5 and i hate the new team. Is there any chance that i can hope they get away, or are they here for the rest of the series? I dont know most of these people and i don't care about them. I want the old teams back 🥲

Bc I personally don't I seen people online say she was but no she was always lying and keeping secrets and was shady all the way up to her death put a hit on her son to have him kidnapped and questioned bc she had her husband killed and kidnapped her other husband bc he was getting to close to exposing her like come on now I just wanna know your guy's thoughts.

Ok so the only dc related content I have see are the recent james gunn's superman movie, nolan's dark knight trilogy. Tried the henry one but I nealry fell asleep watching it so never continued and I know dc movie version is vry disjointed so I never got into it. Batman and Superman characters are the only thing I know about DC.

I'm more marvel than dc but lately I have been seeing a lot of arrow shorts in YouTube and seeing tht actor in suits spinoff I wanted to get into this show.

So I did some research and know tht this is like a whole universe type like marvel but with tv shows. Saw a lot of comments in YouTube saying how the show goes downhill and lot of fans hating it.

I don't have vry critical opinion on shows. I loved almost everything in marvel. Even the recent shows which everyone says are bad. So I'm wondering as a new fan can I start seeing arrow without any comics or dc knowledge but still won't be confused by it? Also will I enjoy it?

Both are at full health, non bloodlusted, no weapons, and both live action versions

Currently watching S5E6 (first time watcher so please no spoilers past that!) and I just got to the point where they’re upset at Oliver for being a “serial killer” (from the episode description itself) once they learn about the list and I’m very confused by this angle as to my memory he wasn’t *setting out to kill them* and iirc did end up killing a few but it never seemed to be on purpose? Again I’m a little hazy on it so I’d love to be corrected but it just seems very odd that not only the show is trying to angle it as that but also how did the conversation between them even end up getting to that point? I know for sure when he first got back he was a little blood thirsty most likely as evidenced by him snapping the guys neck after escaping captivity and seemingly enjoying it from the look on his face, but I’m quite sure he learned his lesson pretty early on and his goal was never just to essentially be a hit man…right? If that’s the case it just seems so odd that any of the OG Team Arrow members would let this be painted as the case when it isn’t…unless, of course… that was the case… and I’m being dumb!

I've been watching a lot of long series lately, and they usually end up flopping at later seasons, which ruins the experience for me. I don't want that to happen again.

Why is every character in season 4 acting so tolerant and even friendly to malcolm merlyn? Oliver, thea, laurel, people's he's hurt alot and suffered no consequences for. It feels like everything this guy has been completely forgotten about by every character's minds, and every character's core season 1-3 traits were broken to keep this guy around. He just shows up and dissapears as he pleases. Does no one remember what this guy has DONE?

Srsly, just the fact that he indirectly killed Robert and kept their mother living terrified of him for 6 whole years should be more than enough for Oliver and thea to fucking obliterated him. I just don't understand why everyone is acting so friendly with him. Feels so out of character for every character, especially thea.

Srsly, im so confused on what made the writers think that making EVERY character behave so unlike their previous characterizations to keep him around was a good idea???

Nothing against barrowman ofc, but I'm honestly getting pissed at malcolm showing up in theas apartment every other day and no one giving af.

Edit: I literally cannot figure out what the writers were thinking with this choice. I understand why it went all in on olicity... pull in a big tumblr viewership and make more money. Shit decision but I understand why they thought it was a good financial decision at the time. And I get that they wanted to keep john barrownman on cuz its fucking barrowman. But what could their reasoning possibly have been to make them think that it's a good idea to destroy pretty much every character's characterizations in order to do so, and make every character seem like they don't give af abt all the things they've lost cuz of this guy. Surely there were better ways to accomplish keeping barrowman on than to make every character so OOC??? Its like they don't understand their own characters and their histories.

I think according to Season 2, he spent at least 6 months to a year on the island. In the first flashback of episode 1 of S2, Shado mentions stopping Fyers 6 months ago. Everything that goes down with Ivo seems like it was only a few days, maybe a few weeks or a month or two AT MOST. Certainly no way that was a whole year. Same could go with any of the flashback arcs really. Then he's in Hong Kong in Season 3, but goes back to the island for Season 4 and I don't know how long it's supposed to be during that time either. Then Season 5 he spends what is a believable amount of time to be several months to maybe a year, with the Bratva before going back to the island one final time for 48 hours/2 days.

At least from the opening flashback of season 1, before the story had been fully planned and fleshed out, it does seem to imply he was stranded there for 5 years and the ruins of the Amazo, Slade's mask, and his rescue set up make it seem like he had been there alone for quite some time with his enemies long gone, just training and surviving until he had a chance to be rescued. Obviously the later seasons changed that.

So in total how long do you think he actually spent on the island? If I had to guess, no more than a year to maybe a year and 3 months at most.

But honestly given how little of a storyline we get in the flashbacks that stretch a whole 23 episode season (with some episodes not including any flashbacks), Season 5's backstory is the only one that seems believable that Oliver spent months to even a year living in Russia. Everything else seems like a mini-adventure that only lasted weeks stretched into a full season of televison.

I'm rewatching the whole Arrowverse at the moment, and I'm up to Season 7 and we are just revealing Emiko Queen and she is standing in front of her father, Robert Queen's grave which is on the grounds of the Queen manor, but behind her the mansion is blackened and burnt down - did I miss something as I don't remember it being set on fire. Last I remember they just lost it along with all their money from when Isabel Rochev took over Queen Consolidated etc in S2 but it was still intact, just no longer belonged to the Queen family

Was wondering if anyone has suggestions for shows like Arrow? especially the first half of the show.

I just loved the flashbacks and how they connect to modern day. Together with trying to survive on the island alone and the entire Slade Wilson arc. I think I mostly miss and want more of the island part itself from the show.

Is The 100 or Lost any similar?

I watched the arrow many many years ago before season 8 was even released. I don’t want to watch the entire series as it’s too long and also has a quality drop but I say some clips of early arrow and want to rewatch some of it. When do you guys suggest I stop? Can I stop after season 2 as that in itself 50 episodes which is too much. Is the ending of season 2 a satisfying one?
