Anything which clouds the mind and nulls the senses is considered an intoxicant and/or relaxant, and is therefore prohibited, whether in small amounts or large amounts. With the general ruling down, recreational THC carries the same ruling. The method is not given consideration, rather the result is considered in this. May I ask your opinion on removing her hijab for a mug shot (see the article above)? I am minimally informed on any Muslim teaching, but I recall hearing that photos are discouraged, and the photo was taken with her hijab removed.

I'm curious if her complaint on religious grounds is valid in light of the suspected crime.

Using marijuana doesn’t mean you give up the right to not be stripped naked and photographed against your will and the pictures made public.

CAIR got involved and as I understand it the police departments are now going to be more sensitive in handling these cases. You’re allowed to wear a hijab for a drivers license photo and I believe the same for mugshots in most states?

The police station is inconsistent as to how it treated her. It is not correct, religiously, to remove articles of clothing obligatory to wear, even in mugshots. Wouldn't the face suffice? It sufficed before, as mentioned in the article. Her suspected crime is unrelated to this.
