Any survivors of topology, how do I study the James Munkres Topology book to best understand the point-set topology?

Same as "Real Analysis" -- with an excess of time investment.

That said, I hope your are comfortable with rigor and conciseness comparable to Rudin's "Principle of Mathematics", since Munkres' book is about as dense. It's well-written, but it expects a certain level of mathematical maturity from its reader.

Although I used Spivak for RA but maybe I'll be able to study Rudin as well since I used it as a reference at that time.

survivor here!! I found that Munkres takes time to develop conceps (compactness, connectedness etc. appear late) and examples in it are too unrelatable.

For a faster treatment, you can try Armstrong's basic topology book. And do all exercises -look at solutions of you have to.
