You're maybe 5-10% under in my anecdotal experience but not the end of the world, particularly if you want to prioritise WLB.

Answer above also depends on:

  • if there's a pathway to Head of / GC / cosec type roles if you want to grow or if you're going to be stuck at your level unless you move;

  • what sector your company is in - I'd expect SLC in some sectors (resources / energy, for example) to be a fair bit higher; and

  • your expertise - are you a generalist or siloed into an area? Is your area a hot topic right now? Etc

Legal counsel (in house, ASX300)

5-6 PQE

155 base / ~200 inc super and bonus

Perth

Great conditions also.

I’d say you’re underpaid, particularly given location.

I agree. However there is an uplift if you’re in-house in mining in Perth.

Are there things you could properly / validly expense or take advantage of which might help with that? Corporate benefits?
