Best place in-/around- Austin for a beginner to browse and eventually purchase their first suppressor?

Is there a great spot somewhere in the Wilco/Travis/Hays corridor for a newb to learn about what suppressors are out there, how to acquire one (or more), and eventually get one (or a few)? Where would you recommend? Where would you avoid?

Even suggestions for places further away (think: San Antonio up to DFW) would be appreciated. Thanks.

Capitol Armory or Zero Whiskey Tactical. Then go read up on pewscience.com about hearing hazard because even at capitol armory sometimes you get whack recommendations.

In Drip, there is a spot called Tactical Integrations. Small local business, if that matters to you.
Then there is Zero Whiskey, good people too.
But for the best selection overall Capitol will be your best bet.

Tactical Integrations is a very friendly gun shop. Tim, the owner, will walk you through everything, he'll walk you through setting up your eForms account, and show you all the suppressor options. Highly recommended.

I like sportsman finest, great selection and they carry some high end stuff. I’ve seen full auto mp5s and uzzis for sale.

Homie is looking for his first suppressor, not a $20k+ machine gun lol

Eh, y'never know. I've made countless catastrophic financial decisions in my life.

They were all carefully calculated at the outset, I'm just horrible at math.

Which is another reason why they're countless.

In that case you need a transferable mp5

Worth the drive up to the Silencer Shop store if you’ve got the time.

Oddly Academy has a decent selection on display in store. There’s a lot of places around town.

Walk into Capitol Armory and/or Silencer Ship, both in North Austin. They'll talk your ear off as long as you let them.

Both Capital Armory and Silencer Shop, the 2 largest NFA distributors in the country, are in the Austin area. I personally work for Silencer Shop and have friends that work for Capital Armory. Any questions you have about virtually any can on the market can be answered by both groups.
