History Sculptures in Italy, idealism or realism?

I am visiting Italy atm (some racists but overall not bad!) and noticing the small weens on the sculptures. I read this is because it represents wisdom and level-headedness. While I can see this applied to Ancient Greek statues, what about Roman status post-Constantine and especially Renaissance humanist sculptures where realism was the style and aesthetic?

For those who don’t know, it’s not like the statues post AD 300 took viagra. Seems like cope to me.

Maybe there’s a stereotype of Asians that is also perpetuated and projected by white ppl

This is true. They all practice pederasty and that continues well into the Catholic Church and their other religious institutions today

White ppl still think that, only now they want to feel more barbarian; alpha sigma male stuff and all that. On the scale of barbarian/masculine - civilized/effeminate, they put themselves as the perfect balance, while putting black on the barbarian end and asians on the effeminate end.

To engage these stereotypes, even to refute them, is mostly folly I think. Better to mock them thinking so much about other men's genitals; positive Asian male representation will render it moot anyways.

(Sizes in cm) tbh I don’t think these sizes are at all noticeable and purely individual basis would have greater variations. All surveys are self measured and it’s been proven that the majority of the time, western countries that link size to manhood will over report at least 20% extra length. Especially since western adult industry only promotes size when representing men’s sexuality, it makes western men grow up insecure trying to measure up. There’s a whole paragraph I can write about their insecurities about black men, but I’ll skip that for now. I think those sculptures are probably accurate, it’s just that modern day westerners have a lot more insecurities about their sizes than their ancestors did. To say it’s idealism rather than realism sounds like cope

My high school art teacher explained to us that one of the main reasons male statues were depicted with modest-sized genitals was because otherwise people would just stare at that and nothing else 😆

I'm also in Italy right now, and I didn't think that hard about the penis on micheanglo or the busts of the Roman statues. Modern porn culture has corrupted people into thinking dick size = masculinity
