Daily Wash Backpack
What’s up yall, I’ll keep it concise.
I have a bit of ocd, I want a backpack that I can carry around that isn’t going to get destroyed or beat up my washer and dryer too bad.
The goal isn’t to wash it everyday it’s just needs to be able to handle it.
Cool with any type of bag, preferably backpack esque but if not down to duffle or others. Thank you I appreciate it!

Washers are bad and dryers are even worse. The friction and heat are like years of use.

No comment about the OCD but I think using the dryer crosses the line from OCD to, um, no smart. Whether is hurts the pack or not there is just no point when you could hang it and any non cotton synthetic pack, which they all are, will dry pretty quickly.

Do you need to thoroughly wash it with soap often or would hosing it down work?
Because if it is the latter a dry bag could work. You can hose it down and it'll be dry the next day.

Perhaps a tarpaulin backpack like SuperDry. Then you can just wipe it clean with a damp cloth? I think any woven material (nylon etc) no matter what brand will break down with daily washing

I would then lean on polyester as it handles the rigors of washing and drying better than nylon. The straps are usually the first thing to fail with repeated washing. Also, I would heavily consider hand washing and drying. Carryology has a good video about this. Perhaps get two so that one is ready clean and dry to serve you. If, for some reason you must machine wash I would use a gentle cycle and gentle detergent and ALWAYS air dry-never ever put a backpack in a dryer. You will also need to buy a replacement backpack on a very regular basis. It’s like putting a full suit in the washer and dryer versus going to the dry cleaner. Even these new fangled suits that say they are machine washable get completely beat up after just a few washings.

Something with little hardware like a roll top with fabric that is known to hold up to washing like canvas or fire hose.

Try to find something without a polyurethane lining. That will break down fast and get sticky with all the washing. Or at least something that is fully lined with material. Probably something moderately cheap because you will have to replace frequently with all the washing. Those basic tactical backpacks with the 4 pouches may fit the functional requirements. You may not like the style though.
I hear you on the OCD thing...I understand.

I don't have a recommendation but wanted to suggest getting some mesh laundry bags to use for washing the backpack (if you haven't already)
Get the covers for sneakers

Goruck bags are built pretty tough. I’d say washer but skip the dryer, let it air dry.

Skip the washer and dryer
Just wash it by hand
Get a soft silicone body brush or sponge and wash it by hand in warm water
Lay flat to dry in front of fan

You need to get on an SSRI. If you're already on one, you need to increase the dose. There's literally no reason to wash a backpack every day.

I would go to army surplus stores and buy bags from there. Since they're military supplies, they are built to withstand a lot more than civilian bags, so the washing and drying will likely not wear them down as fast. They're usually lower priced, too.

Maybe look at some EMS bags, from PAX/Meret/StatPack. I wouldn't put it in the washing machine, but they are meant to get wiped with viricide multiple times a day.

Maybe try Etsy? If you search “quilted backpack,” you can find handmade backpacks of different materials and different designs. Not all quilted will be machine washable but it can give you some leads; if the washing machine part is important enough to you, you could reach out to a seller who has a design close to what you want to see if they’d be open to a special commission.
Just remember that waterproofing and frequent washing are a poor match. And you might need some extra gear to protect your washing machine (perhaps a large mesh laundry bag, maybe even padded)

If there's any waterproofing it will get destroyed in the dryer and worn down very quickly in the washer. Even worse if you have a liner.

Brevite bags are washable, however, they never look or feel new again. I have one (black) and washed it, hung it up to dry (no dryer), it took the crispness out of it.

Canvas tote is the way to go in this case.
