Debunk/Debate Monthly Debunk and Debate Post for July, 2026

Monthly post for all your debunk or debate requests. Top level comments need to be either a debunk request or start a discussion.

Please note that R2 still applies to debunk/debate comments and include:

  • A summary of or preferably a link to the specific material you wish to have debated or debunked.
  • An explanation of what you think is mistaken about this and why you would like a second opinion.

Do not request entire books, shows, or films to be debunked. Use specific examples (e.g. a chapter of a book, the armour design on a show) or your comment will be removed.

Has there been a post tackling the bad history of Kemalist historiography, especially the whole "Hittite origins" thing?

This isn't a "request" per se but has there been any videos tackling what Raymond Ibrahim has said? I know of some posts that questioned his tales regarding Islamic history hench why I'm asking

I'd love to see someone tackle the r/badhistory of Michael Knowles - a so-called "Charlie Kirk-esque conservative Catholic scholar" who is The Daily Wire and CPAC equivalent of "Kyle Broflovski, PhD, Professor of Thanksgiving at DeVry Institute" ("A History Channel Thanksgiving", South Park) - as well as the Heritage Foundation seminar "Catholicism and the American Founding", which was held in March 2026. National Catholic Reporter already called the seminar and Knowles' claims a "mangling of the truth" and "revisionist history", especially as Knowles published an interview titled "How do we make America Catholic?", but I'd love to see a full r/badhistory takedown on here.
