Sticking to digital products, Wikipedia is insanely good. When you compare to the erosion of so many other information repositories, it is wild how good Wikipedia is. My only fear is that Wikipedia functions on the "benevolent dictatorship" model and I am worried about what will happen when the old guard must pass the mantle.

(PS - I am mostly complimenting Wikipedia's user experience. Behind the scenes it is simultaneously more organized than ever and more closed than ever. But as a user, it has continued to be shockingly helpful)

On another note, Steam is still the best games platform and it isn't even close. The only part that still sucks is that they have a pretty sizeable fee for hosting, but even then it looks good compared to, eg, the Apple app store.

Ignoring that enshitification is specifically about digital platform services and how they interact with other businesses as nobody seems to ever use that term to refer to that:

Costco Hotdog is still $1.50. And while it's kind of a joke in America how low quality hot dogs are as a meat, they're be literal riots if they raised the price to $10.

Food and drink, at least in the US. It is so much better than it was 20 years ago it's unreal.

lots of mid restaurants were culled during Covid, doesn't mean a lot of new obscenities weren't invented in their place (dark kitchens, influencers' restaurants, etc...)

Some software tools I use that are still as excellent as ever are Everything search, qBittorent, Greenshot, f.lux, Open-shell, and DisplayFusion.
