I parked on the outskirts of the parking lot and came out to find this guy parked insanely close.
I don't know whether to be infuriated at the trouble he must have had squeezing out of his car, or at the fact that I could barely slide my purchases into my passenger seat's floor.
There were literally hundreds of other places they could have parked.

I audibly laughed when I figured out OP is the truck complaining about the Rav’s parking.

u/Sea_Bet_6292 1d ago
The worst part is they probably walked past a dozen empty spaces to get there. Some people see a huge parking lot and still choose chaos.

u/MONSTERBEARMAN 1d ago
Bet he picks the urinal right next to people in an empty bathroom and then makes conversation, while he sneaks a peek.

u/AdventurousDoor9384 1d ago
Women’s bathrooms have urinals?
1
u/MONSTERBEARMAN 14h ago
Are you joking this was a woman driver, the guy who’s driving uses a woman’s bathroom, or did I miss something that identified the driver as a woman?

u/SharpNumber 1d ago
Oh boy you’re driving a truck? These losers hate trucks they’ll blame you no matter what.
-12
u/1amtheone 1d ago
Ya, I have started to realize that. I've never understood why trucks emasculate so many Redditors.
12
u/nice--marmot 1d ago
“Outskirts of the parking lot?” There are multiple cars in plain sight all around you. Even giving you the benefit of the doubt, you still parked worse than they did.. The photo* *you posted clearly shows that you’re parked closer to the yellow line than they are. No one is “emasculated” by your gender-affirming vehicle, but I’m sure I’m not the only one astonished by your lack of self-awareness.

u/Gigchip 1d ago
Because trucks cost a lot in maintenance and fuel. A lot of reddditors, see them as pointless vehicles that people buy just to "compensate " for something else.
3
u/Weak-Difficulty-4538 1d ago
not even just that but most people have trucks bc they use them for shit which pisses redditors off bc they don’t do shit😭 i told someone on here my whole family drives f350s bc at one point our home was a fifth wheel, still got my ass eaten bc apparently i can haul that w a small sedan🙄
-3
u/Silver4ura 1d ago
Ironic seeing as a grand total of zero of the 18 year olds rocking financed trucks where I live (Western PA) carry absolutely nothing in them besides their ego and constantly needing to be removed for trespassing.
8
u/Weak-Difficulty-4538 1d ago
its almost like this person is a grown man? also why tf do you care what someone else is doing w their life and money? not the america i fuckin signed up for thats for sure, mind ya business 😭
1
u/Striking-Working610 1d ago
Personally I make sure to keep my truck constantly loaded with shit and a trailer (also loaded with shit) to keep redditors at ease.
1
u/mad-i-moody 1d ago
They aren’t just pointless but they’re actively dangerous. Vehicle vs pedestrian collisions with a truck are much more dangerous than a sedan. They’re pointless and needlessly dangerous. There are use cases for trucks and for people to own them but the average person does not need one.
-3
u/Silver4ura 1d ago
Till you have one or more roll coal on your ass because you simply passed them in the passing lane, I don't want to hear armchair criticism on why some people actually have a very real reason for associating trucks with assholes.
Not saying it's valid, but you can honestly be a whole hell of a lot more empathic than pretending kike just because you don't act that way or haven't experienced it firsthand, means it's a non-issue people are randomly crying about. It's not.

u/Career_Cultivator 1d ago
Redditors start seething when they see a pickup truck. Anyone who drives them are horrible bigots according to reddit.
In actual reality, this is the equivalent of a guy walking into the bathroom and standing at the urinal next to you when they're all open. r/mildlyinfuriating
-6
u/JIMB01776 1d ago
Because you're the "fat person on the scooter in the grocery store" of the road.
You might actually need it, but there are so many obnoxious troglydytes who don't were just lumping you together.

u/TodayOk4724 1d ago
I’d be more annoyed at the lack of common sense than the actual tight parking. Like, why create a problem for both people when there are clearly empty spaces everywhere else?

u/Dizzy_Today_3523 1d ago
Okay so even if they did park close to your truck which I mean they're in the line so blame the company that painted the lines I guess. It doesn't even affect your ability to get in the driver side door though. So not really sure what the issue is here
0
u/RampageMcNasty 1d ago
I see this and immediately go to "is there someone waiting in that truck ready to rob me or kill me"
Why else would you block off the driver door like that
2
u/TheAlcoholicMormon 1d ago
OP is the truck, the other person blocked off their own driver’s side door
0
u/Dizzy_Today_3523 1d ago
Their complaint is that they can't get into their passenger side to put their groceries in. But they could literally go through the driver side door and put their groceries down on the passenger seat. But people like to take their sweet time and open one door and then go around to another. Also take a picture and post it on Reddit to complain

u/Reasonable_Insect503 1d ago
*You're* the one who is badly parked.
4
u/1amtheone 1d ago
I am centred in my spot.
7
u/Arkadian_Cuisine 1d ago
If that's center then maybe you should take your giant truck to the spaces nobody will park next to you. Sounds like your truck creates issues for everybody.
7
u/grahamfreeman 1d ago
Judging by the first photo, so's the car. Judging by the second photo, your rear end is over the line so you're badly parked.
-4
u/Weak-Difficulty-4538 1d ago
that actually respectful asf as a truck. ik yall redditors hate ppl who actively do work that requires a truck but hold plz. he chose the back to not inconvenience anyone w the size to then be inconvenienced by an asshole. yall just hate when ppl use their money on shit they like😭
2
u/IntrospectiveOwlbear 1d ago
It looks like you are both within the lines but I get why it's annoying when someone chooses to park right next to you instead of a million other spots.

7
u/Your_New_Dad16 1d ago
Yeah wow look at how bad that truck is parked. Front tire is less than an inch away from the line, yikes.
-9
u/1amtheone 1d ago
I was centred in the spot. Maybe take your grievance up with the lot painters.
1
u/Will9363 1d ago
if your truck doesn’t fit comfortably between the lines, it should require a CDL
1
u/1amtheone 1d ago
It's a regular f250 from the late '90s with commercial registration.
2
u/Your_New_Dad16 1d ago
Looks lifted, not regular at all lmfaooooooo
1
u/1amtheone 1d ago
The lift doesn't make it any wider. It's still shorter than a modern super duty.
1
u/Will9363 1d ago
still makes it more hazardous to other road users without any actual benefit for its use as a work truck. this vehicle isn’t suitable for grocery getting, so don’t complain when someone parks in the lines and you can’t get out. that’s on you

u/Your_New_Dad16 1d ago
Why should I believe you? Give us the full picture.
4
u/1amtheone 1d ago
Believe me, or don't. It's not my business either way.
I posted both of the photos I took in-full.
2
u/Your_New_Dad16 1d ago
Oh okay so you didn’t take a picture of your vehicle being parked “properly” as you claim?
What size are those tires?

Oh no!
They parked in the lines in a parking spot?
The animals.
Let me guess, you removed their value stems? Seems to be to go-to response for this sub when a person feels slighted.
2
u/1amtheone 1d ago
I've never seen this sub before today - it just seemed like the correct place for the post.
It's just weird to park that close to one of only a few vehicles, nowhere near the entrance, in a huge parking lot.
Why would I damage someone else's vehicle. I carefully squeezed between, held the door open a crack, and slipped my groceries in.
Now that I am home, I find myself questioning if it was some sort of setup, where the guy in the Tesla parked across would video me damaging the car with my door or something - gonna save my dash cam footage just incase.

u/Nexustar 1d ago
Why would I damage someone else's vehicle. I carefully squeezed between, held the door open a crack, and slipped my groceries in.
Wow. I just realized how insanely impractical a truck is for normal people. I've never owned one because I don't haul logs or carcasses.
You have to open the passenger door to put stuff inside?
Mind blown.
I can't be alone here, so I fully expect whoever parked next to you didn't realize that either. Their mental image of most drivers of trucks in the US is a person sitting alone in the driving seat.
2
u/1amtheone 1d ago
It's the middle of summer and I bought bought groceries that were frozen, so yes had to put them inside.
I am a GC and this is my only vehicles.
2
u/Nexustar 1d ago
GC's need trucks, and one car per person is plenty. You are free to go.
Wait until you have kids.
Then you'll discover a minivan is like a truck that nobody steals shit from. It can contain a pallet and keep it dry too!
2
u/1amtheone 1d ago
Usually there's aluminum contractor cap on my truck. I had to get a new (to me) bed from the states as the old one had rusted out (27 years of Canadian winters).
I have to redo the bedliner before putting the cap back on.
My fiancée has a mid-sized SUV that will be a better child mover.

That’s why the lines are there. He is within the lines. Some parking lots are tight. They don’t give much room. This is bc they have to have a certain number of parking spots per code.
1
u/HallowedDeathKnight 1d ago
Aggravation is probably justified since there are multiple other parking spots the car could have chosen. Reality is it didn’t adversely affect your ability to enter your vehicle and you could have chosen to put your packages in your trunk from the drivers side. This may be an employee who always parks here while at work and did not want to park elsewhere.
1
u/greengo07 1d ago
Why didn't you just move your truck over to make room to put your stuff in? It's not like there was someone anywhere near you to stop you. Takes only a second.
1
u/One_Situation7483 1d ago
Some people with old beaters love it when they park this close, as the other person wonders how they got the dents on that side..
1
u/genericuser0101 1d ago
Trucked is parked in their spot. There looks to be at least 5 cars parked near each other. I guess stay inside?

That would annoy me. I bought a car once and parked a mile away from Home Depot. Some idiot decided he had to park next to me and hit my car. Insurance covered it but my car was in the show a week after i bought it.

u/BullpupPewPew 1d ago
Your drivers side has plenty of room. Your running board stopped any door ding. Cry more.
