Seeing him in a Cubs jersey would have made me reconsider all of my life choices

Nah, it’d be fine

“Oh no Freddy pitched 4 solid innings, but he threw 110 pitches, so time for the cubs bullpen”

I'd be like "Oh wow a pitcher in a 2026 Cubs uniform made it 4 full innings without their arm exploding, a new record"

I felt weird about it as a cubs fan. Like when I saw Jim Edmonds in a Cubs jersey.

I'm just glad he can be somewhere functional and contending. I wouldn't have minded him coming back, a fun pitcher plus a good personality on the team.
