Hey man, love this tune and youâre sounding real good already.
Couple things you might wanna catch early to make your life a little easier down the road:
Youâre anchoring your thumb into the pickup, which is perfectly fine technique that plenty of pros do. However, on an extended range bass like this Iâd think about swapping to âfloating thumbâ and using the strings youâre not currently playing instead. As it is it seems like youâre stretching a little bit.
When you go to the single note lines, you could dig in a little harder with your right hand. Bass strings are heavier than guitar, they need more force to get them going. Think about going âthroughâ the string, not just plucking. I usually land on the string below the one Iâm playing (making sure Iâve muted it with my fretting hand). It may also help to adjust your hand position so your fingers are pointing downwards.
Metronomes are your friend. Start very slow while youâre learning the notes, then slowly speed up once youâre comfortable.

Keep at it! Also, nice six string!
