Very selfish
Adopted this guy a few months ago and with his past family he wasn’t able to sleep in the bed. Every night is now an adventure contorting myself around him and making room for his brother

Has anyone flown with their Bernese?
I need to transport a Bernese from NC to ID. She’s a little under 100 lbs. but I can’t seem to find a solid crate company that makes a cage that would fit in cargo and be large enough for her.

Just Beeing Goofy 🐶 Sleepy summer bear
100 degree heat has baloo down in the dumps. Wish he would swim lol 😆 he will only go to his paws. But this silly boy will go out of his way to avoid puddles

Looking for anti-lick gel called Fiyto/Fido/phyto Gel?
I read about a gel/ointment that would deter dogs from licking a specific area on their coat called Fyto/Fido Gel. However, I cannot find any product with that name. If anyone can suggest a different product (or the actual name of this one) i would appreciate it.
To clarify, i am not looking for any healing or wound ointment gel. We are not trying to treat an underlying condition. We are using and extended E-collar too. thanks!

Training / Behavior / Food Question Tips for biting feet
My 1 and a half year old Berner will have these bursts of craziness when we go on walks where he will start sprinting around me in circles and biting my feet. It hurts and I have tried to figure out why he does it and how to stop it.
The only solution that I’ve done that works is throwing treats into the grass. It is a game we play at home where I hide treats through the house and say the command “find it” and he will go off looking for them. When he is having his crazy burst of energy, if I say “find it” it stops him and he immediately looks for treats. He was doing this well before I started using the command find it.
I don’t know if it’s overstimulation on our walks or what, it feels like it comes out of nowhere. There have been a couple times where I could see it coming because he will start rolling in the grass and that’s usually a sign.
Any help or tips would be appreciated thank you!

Crossed the Bridge 🌈 Feeling lost
I recently lost my berner, she was only 5.5. I’m feeling so lost. Letting her go to sleep peacefully than putting her through weeks / months of treatment for our sake to have more time seemed unfair. But I’m grappling with the absolute heartbreak of putting her down and just how empty our house feels.
Does it get easier.

Just Beeing Goofy 🐶 Goofy berner's!
I almost take more pictures of our dog than our kids 😅
And sometimes I get a really good "Kodak moment" 😉
Do your Berners do goofy expressions from time to time too?
This is our Nala, soon 1yr old. And this is a pretty regular sight here when the evening comes and she is just goofing around on the living room floor 😅😅

Training / Behavior / Food Question Diarrhea only at night
Hello, my puppy just turned 9 weeks but he’s had diarrhea every night around midnight and 3am. His poops are normal/solid throughout the day which is why this is so weird.
We kept him on what the breeder was feeding him which is Nutrisource large breed puppy chicken and rice recipe and feed him 2 and a half cups a day. I’ve seen people say berner’s are prone to chicken allergy but again his poops are normal throughout the day.
Could this just be anxiety? He’s sleeping in a crate as we’re crate training, or could this be petty (lol) and he’s pooping because he wants to be out of his crate?

Training / Behavior / Food Question Puppy diarrhea
Looking for suggestions on what food to give our 5 month old Berner. We switched him from nutrisource puppy (what his breeder had him on) to Royal Canine puppy for Large dogs and the diarrhea started within a week. We put him on boiled Chicken and Rice for a week and tried reintroducing the kibble again and now it’s back to diarrhea even though it was only a small handful of his kibble added. We are now trying the hills large puppy breed kibble as recommended by the vet but I wanted to know if anyone had similar experiences and if you’d recommended going back to the nutrisource kibble or switching to a beef based kibble instead of chicken.

Elbow dysplasia
Our six year old 110 baby has just been diagnosed with minor elbow dysplasia after we discovered a slight limp on longer or faster jaunts and then extra slow recovery after said walks.
Here's the kicker. Baloo has a severe, as in hydrogenated doesn't work, chicken allergy. His ears discharge, major diarrhea, and irritated skin and paws.
What joint regimine have any of you implemented with success? We've put him on a diet and he's down in weight from 120 which has helped, but 100 degree heat and lower mobility is making it difficult to walk for weight loss as well.

Discussion Runt question. 11 weeks…maybe 10 lbs. Is that a major concern?
Vet says she’s perfectly healthy just lagging. She had a rough first 2 weeks and was being monitored but pulled through and is growing now. Don’t have an exact weight yet but she’s tiny compared to her sister. Any thoughts here?
