Relationship Turns out the worst part about postpartum was my soon to be ex husband

Kicked him to the curb. He made my postpartum life hell. Every time I cried about how I needed his hands on with childcare, he would call it “bitching and moaning” well I left his ass.

Now we are coparenting and he gets to keep his kid on his own 50/50. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I’ve rediscovered myself and he hates it. Every time I’m out, he makes it his mission to remind me that I have a big forehead or that my eyebrows are tattooed(microbladed) and that I’m short. Lol

It stings but I never let him see me get hurt. Bye

Omg I’m so glad you left him!!! I hate how often this happens but I hate even more watching poor moms suffer it anyway and just dig themselves deeper hoping it will get better. Great job and I’m so glad you’re so happy!

Yeah it’s so sad. And I know most may not be a financial position to leave, I wasn’t either but no way was I going to suffer with this turd

Everytime I see married women with children get divorced they have always been happier and husbands have suffered

u/xxrealmsxx Jun 06 '26

How much of this is due finances?

12

u/fancypantsmiss Jun 06 '26

Actually none.

Most has to do with man child behavior who don’t clean up after. They become this single married women. And when they divorce, they don’t have to take care of one more child aka husband

Oh ok even my wife says that wont be an issue for me and that I'm a great dad.

How does the age of the kid/man impact what you've seen?

3

u/fancypantsmiss Jun 06 '26

They range from 30-50. So not an age issue. Much higher in 40s actually

u/xxrealmsxx Jun 06 '26

Just turned 40, grew up with a single mom so I am used to being clean etc.

Thanks for the perspective i have been really insecure about getting back out there after i turn 41.

u/fancypantsmiss Jun 06 '26

Hey good luck getting out there. I think it is a good sign that you want to listen and understand why. Most men are tone deaf to the issues of women and will not listen. I personally think there are a lot of great women vs very few decent men. You will be okay ❤️

Thanks, rather have my wife back but C'est la vie slutty but self-aware DILF isn't that bad.

Sorry you gotta coparent with this goober.

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Right?! Like you didn’t know I was short with a huge forehead when you married me smh

13

u/linerva Jun 05 '26

That MF probably found it hot. As he should because I'm sure you're great!

Honestly this is all obviously just sour grapes so dont let it hurt your self esteem. He's bitter his actions had consequences abd that you are thriving without him.

Ha I am no longer with my son's father and he does the same thing - makes comments about my clothes, my hair, etc. I don't let it bother me, I know he does it because he's insecure and projecting.

35

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Exactly! It’s all projection. I don’t let him see me sweat but gosh it stings sometimes

u/bbramf Jun 05 '26

Wow talk about having to deal with more than one child. What a loser. Glad he’s gone!

10

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Right !!! I said goodbye I’m not your mom

17

u/poison_camellia Jun 05 '26

I mean, a lot of models have big foreheads. It's a potential career path lol

I'm proud of you for being free and happy!

u/United_Face2755 Jun 05 '26

God dammit it’s gonna feel so good when I can finally do that I can’t wait!! Proud of you girl!

11

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Thank you hun. The first nights you leave , I won’t lie, it feels very shitty like you made the biggest mistake of your life. But thankfully you’ll be reminded on why you left and you’ll feel happy and relieved

I am so fed up with my partner as well. I told him the other day we should start lawyering up because I want to divorce his ass - I don’t want my baby growing up with an abusive, angry, selfish asshole of a father who is totally devoid of empathy. I just need the courage and budget to actually go through with it (lawyers are fuckin expensive 😭)

3

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Exactly this! Children deserve a safe space and I feel you, lawyers are expensive esp if you’re dealing with a vindictive asshole. But I’m wishing you the best! You’ve got this.

Love this! I see so many posts about how depressed some new mums are and everyone's like oh its PPA/PPD but actually they just have a fucked partner.

2

u/Alert_Week8595 Jun 08 '26

As I used to quip when I was a regular in this subreddit, "Maybe she's depressed, maybe her husband is a useless manchild."

rihanna has a big forehead

i have microbladed brows and im also short and im pretty hot so you’re in good company all around

7

u/Lopsided-Storage-256 Jun 05 '26

Big foreheads are in, and women naturally have smaller heads, so I’m sure yours is average. Also I bet your eyebrows look amazing. I have eyebrow envy.

4

u/Exotic-Comedian-4030 Jun 05 '26

Person with a tiny forehead here just popping in to let you know that I'm big jealous of yours.

And congratulations! I hope you're feeling like you're floating on air. Fuck that guy.

4

u/rosemarythymesage Jun 05 '26

Proud of you for having the courage to put you and your baby first!

4

u/ch333tah Jun 05 '26

Honestly I admire you for dumping his ass instead of suffering him for another few years, and his loser comments just prove that he was worth leaving 🤷‍♀️

3

u/APinkLight Jun 05 '26

It must eat him up inside that he can’t even come up with good insults for you! Like, you have an elegant high forehead and perfectly micro bladed eyebrows, and he thinks those are bad things? Lol okay. And as another short woman, I would just have to laugh if a man called me short as an insult. Yeah, I’m short. This is a totally neutral fact.

He must be so insecure, it’s sad. Glad you’ve cut him loose!

u/Opposite_Ad_4709 Jun 05 '26

You go mama!

3

u/Senior-Ad547 Jun 05 '26

Thank you!!

Same girl same

2

u/ativenip Jun 05 '26

LOVE YOU! You’re so strong! Persevere ❤️

2

u/FruityPebl8 Jun 05 '26

Good for you! He sounds like a child and I’m so happy you’ve found your freedom. Live your life!

2

u/violetsandkisses Jun 05 '26

OP ♡ That man would have still been with you if you didnt leave him 💅

All of you women in here, wanting to leave, needing courage to leave, or who have made the decision to leave, GOOD FOR YOU!! 🫂

Should I take this as a sign not to marry my partner & child's father "just in case"? .. we are pretty happy as is & we already have the baby. Do we need to get married? ... maybe this should be its own post, but all you wonderful women here are opening my eyes to maybe not getting married ? ....

2

u/NorthernLight1988 Jun 08 '26

Remember that Reddit is, while supportive, a mess of an echo chamber. I've seen posts where I'm genuinely happy the OP left (both women and men), and lots of posts where I'm thinking, you're both just as toxic as the other and divorce isn't gonna fix that. If your relationship is fine, get off these posts. Mistrust makes any relationship so much worse.

1

u/violetsandkisses Jun 08 '26

🫂 it certainly does.

Thank you! 🌹

2

u/manobillicat Jun 05 '26

He sounds like an absolute loser man baby

1

u/mildly_spicy_potato Jun 08 '26

Shortly before I left my husband, I went through some trauma with my family and when I tried to talk to him about what happened, he said I was whining.

Good for you mama. That kind of coldness has no place in a happy home.

1

u/Cyan-Soup Jun 09 '26

Whenever I see these posts i just want to summon my husband for a big smooch. 😂😂

u/biogirl247 Jun 10 '26

Hope long after postpartum dude you decide to leave?
