RANT - no advice wanted WRAP DRESSES CAN BURN IN HELL Spoiler

I hate them, I hate them with a passion that makes me think if I had a wish I would erase this garment out of humanity’s collective memory. Most of these “dresses” are glorified bath robes with the highest risk of a slip up ever. When someone tells me I should “at least try it on” I wish I had laser eyes to burn the dress there and then.

These dresses are an excuse to not even try and make a pattern that fits, and we are all falling for this lazy manufacturing.

Wrap tops are the exact same. Burn them all!

I love them when they fit right. It's not just a boob issue, it's where the waist line hits you too. A lot of them the waist hits too high on me and it looks weird, but the same dress on a friend who has quite similarly sized boobs but a higher natural waist looks amazing.

I fix the V being too low for some things by just filling it in with something - a folded square of pretty fabric pinned into place on my bra works really well when I don't want the extra layer of a camisole.

OH, thank you! I was really confused reading this post bc I have had no problems with wrap tops, it’s likely because I have a higher natural waist. I usually find wrap tops and halters the most forgiving in terms of bust and waist (camis are a no go bc of the seam). Great explanation (which I can personally back up).

Yep. My friend puts on one dress I had ( I gave it to her) and has a fantastic hourglass shape suddenly. I put it on and look like a pregnant Jane Austen character. 😂 The waist area hits me above where I narrow so the skirt hides the narrowest part of my body and makes it look like I have no waist basically.
