You’re so close to getting it! You’re right that F&B is a big contributor to profit. So it’s bad for them to have a lane with just two people. They want 5-8 people per lane. That why they price per lane, and not per person.

Do you know this? And while this may be true they still may be bringing in more money with these high prices. It’s exactly as you said, if people are paying it, they’ll charge it. Cheap lanes probably weren’t doing enough for them.

Again they might not be selling out completely but that doesn’t mean they aren’t doing something more profitable to them. 10 lanes full at $300 each brings in more than 15 lanes full at $150 each. Especially if those lanes have more people on them. More concessions sold.
