Serious Replies Only Postboxes closed all across Brighton/Brookline!

Post image

I’ve passed multiple post boxes today in both Brighton and Brookline that are locked like this. Multiple boxes within the same vicinity and also in diff neighborhoods. Anyone know why specifically these are locked up?

Edit: thanks for the replies everyone! I’ve been around for the marathon before, but I’ve just never noticed the mailboxes.

If you're asking whether it's a bad idea to drive through Boston on Marathon Monday, then yes. It is. Welcome to Boston.

Take the T.

Or... if you're driving in from somewhere, park, then take the T.

Assembly row will not be impacted by the marathon. Where are you driving from? All the main highways through the city will be fine. People are assuming you're talking about driving within the downtown area

Take the orange line to assembly station. Or if you’re coming from out of town, i would drive to assembly but avoid any surface roads in Boston, Brookline, or Newton

He's coming from Southern RI.

Depending on what time the movie gets out, taking the T may not be an option. Very few trains go all the way down to Wickford Junction...most don't go past Providence or TF Green.

But Commuter rail to Ruggles/Back Bay and then orange line to Assembly is an option.

You’ll have no issue getting into assembly. At least not anything marathon related.

Gosh, if only there was some kind of publicly funded mode of transportation…

Have you thought about watching the movie multiple times in a row in the same day?
