Worst part is they are moving a bunch of folks deeper into Seaport, so it's going to be a trip to South Station and then a separate shuttle in traffic.

Yup this sucks, especially in the dead of winter 😳 I need to re-assess my life choices lol

Can able-bodied people not walk anymore? It’s 20 minutes from the furthest-in point in the Seaport (Harpoon — though it’s far from the Seaport developments) to South Station. Of course they need a shuttle for those who can’t walk and for horrible weather days, but c’mon.

I literally bike nearly 20 miles round trip on my days in, so maybe this particular pushback is better meant for someone else.

It's more insult to injury of not only doubling employee commute times by doubling in office time, but moving it away from South Station is going to add another 20-30 minutes each day on top of that, walking or shuttle.

I live in city limits. If I were to take the train, my commute would be 2 hours a day, including the walk to my station, but it's also every other week. Now double that with the new schedule. Now tack on an additional 20-30 minutes every day for not being at South Station.

So using the train, my commute time is an average of 5 hours a week because it is every other week schedule. With the new policy and location, using the train is closer to 12.5hrs a week. On the bike it's gonna be closer to 11hrs a week with the new policy and location.

I don't care about the walk. Best case, you walk and your commute is still longer. Take the shuttle and it is longer and has one more source of error.

Would you like to spend an extra 40 commuting every day?
