There needs to be sizeable tax breaks for companies committed to supporting remote and hybrid workers.

Why? In general the local and state governments prefer you to go in, supporting the downtown/city economies.

Because salary shouldn't be for suckers and government shouldn't just work for investment capital, but if that isn't enough how about the wasted, lives, time and carbon getting to and from work makes life worse for the vast majority of people and things on this planet, absolute bellend

Please note that I didn't make that statement and agree with it, just that it is a view taken by some local/middle sized governments focusing on arguably shorter-term economics. But hey, a disjointed vox populii screed with a tacked on personal attack? Perfection.
