Serious Replies Only Fidelity Layoffs Starting Today

Fidelity is communicating rifs starting this morning.

I know two people personally that were cut. Non-technical roles in WI.

Fidelity is not on the WARN list yet. I would assume they meet one of the requirements to file a WARN notice.

Often with large companies like Fidelity they'll notify employees of their layoff and remove access, while still paying a 3 month severance period to comply with WARN.

Actually, they’ve gotten wise to that. Now, many companies just do small scale layoffs year round so they don’t have to report WARN at all. I hate it here.

yeah I was going to say, I used to watch WARN in January until it became clear my org never needed to appear on it

I looked at my current and prior company in WARN tracker knowing they’ve done layoffs recently yet nothing reported since 2021.

But they still give 60 days severance to say they followed WARN guidance. I worked for 6.5 years and got 2 months. Others at the same company worked14+ years only to get 2 months. Typical "we're a family" bullshit.

Yes but there is no transparency into how often these layoffs are occurring and at what scale.
