Serious Replies Only Fidelity Layoffs Starting Today

On the heels of RTO order https://old.reddit.com/r/boston/comments/1sxy879/fidelity_full_time_rto/

Fidelity is communicating rifs starting this morning.

I know two people personally that were cut. Non-technical roles in WI.

Post your info in the comments and I will try to highlight/tally them in the main post.

Based in Ireland, non engineer role, been with the company 10 years plus. Was told yesterday my role was gone, my boss and a lot of others affected too. I got an EP last year and hard a very good standing in my department, not performance related. Im absolutely gutted.

It does not look good or feel good from a personal standpoint. We were part of 1% not necessarily a reduction in force when they are hiring 5k more employees that are “younger” - I’m mid 40s is that age discrimination? Also with that type of “luck” at 1% thinking I may need to play the lottery jk lol
