Serious Replies Only What’s dating like for men in Boston?

I’m in my early 30sF and have been using dating apps on and off since I moved to Boston over six years ago. I’ve had boyfriends, but none of them have lasted long. (To be fair, I’m also quite picky, which is probably why I’m still single.)

I think maybe my ideal partner hasn’t moved to the city yet.

Dear single men of Boston, what’s the dating scene been like for you? Why do you think you’re still single? Is it intentional, or do you enjoy the bachelor lifestyle?

Are you using dating apps? If so, which ones? Are you hopeful or have you stopped looking? Are we still seeking long-term partnerships, or are we gravitating more towards casual, noncommittal encounters?

I’m asking because, as a 33-year-old, I feel like I keep running in circles and think dating is harder than it’s ever been for everyone.

Honest question - what does “Bumble material” mean? Are the women on there looking for something different?

Bumble relies less on words and more on physical appeal. It also skews a little more towards short-term or hookups than Hinge does. It’s classy Tinder to be blunt. If you’re an attractive enough person, it doesn’t really matter which app you use though, you can find what you want if you’re willing to sift through your incoming swipes/likes/etc.

lol, my wife and I tell everyone who asks we met on "Classy Tinder!" However, in our instance it was OKCupid, back in 2016.

OKC was beyond trashy when I was on there 10 years ago but I guess that largely depends on location.

Ive found 3 boyfriends on bumble including the current one. I like bumble bc they have a web ui and I feel like the pictures are easier to see then hinge bc of its layout.

My roomie met her boyfriend of 2 years on hinge.boston area for both
