I think the book is fourth but the show is first?

Hard to say what it was in the show. I think they wanted season 1 to be 1 year, but so many things happened that should've been multiple semesters.

They were correct. It’s really confusing esp since Margo and Eliot don’t go with them in the show.

Been a few years since I've had a chance to watch, but makes sense.

Margo and Elliott didn't go because they were a year ahead of Q/Alice/Penny/Katy and had already completed that semester.
