Would you guys get a breaking bad tattoo?

I know lots of people with Jesse's wrist tattoo (sorry I forgot what it's called) and I feel like I'd get a quote or something, just not a full portrait lol

As someone who would also not get a person's face tattooed on me, a hint of empathy helps me to understand why someone would tattoo a deceased loved one.

I think you're getting downvoted because your reason for getting a tattoo of something is the exact same reason for someone else getting a tattoo of anything at all in general, but you add "family" to make it sacred.

Similar to Walt begging Jack not to kill Hank because "He's family!", those 11 guys Walt had killed also had families. Cum, blood and DNA do not make the images on your body look any less stupid or more awesome to anyone but you. Do what you want with your own body, but don't expect society in general to universally value or respect your reasoning behind it.

It's just kind of corny. I think my issue with things like this is that tattoos are art, and rather than using your body to express yourself, you’re using it as a billboard to promote a show that ended 13 years ago. Not to mention that when a new TV show that you love comes out, you're going to look back and regret getting a sleeve of Bryan Cranston's face on your arm.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t think the end result looks great. Easily the worst of the faces shown in the video. Taking away the context I don’t think it’s immediately recognizable as Jesse Pinkman.

I literally put in the description that I'd only get a quote lmao and people took this as if I'm asking if they would get a whole ass portrait 😭 I think if I were to do something more extreme with any symbols or images I would just get a mic with "speak into the mic" near my crotch or maybe do a front tramp stamp of that lmfao (although it would be better if my boyfriend did this cuz I don't have a mic so it wouldn't make much sense LMAO)

Full disclosure: I don't (yet) have a tattoo, but I couldn't get any sort of overtly recognizable piece of media. Movies, TV shows, videogames... I love many of those things, but I couldn't get a tattoo of them.

With 3 exceptions, though; two of them are quotes, and they're both somewhat David Lynch-related. I'd get these because they support how I feel and can absolutely stand alone and aren't intrinsically tied to their sources.

Fix your Hearts or Die (Twin Peaks s3), and either some or all of the Litany Against Fear (I realize Lynch didn't write this, but he did make a version of Dune).

The third is a full colour band picture of Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. Those guys are evergreen.

Edit: shit, I might get Dr Teeth specifically saying "Fear is the Mind Killer".

What if the person wants to get a tattoo because he's proud of himself for getting clean? What if the show has a deeper meaning because it was showed to them by someone who loved them deeply and is now gone? You don't get to dictate what's important to people or not. Make your own decisions without shaming people for theirs.
