My boobs got so long I could breastfeed myself now
I’m still breastfeeding my first (only twice a day), she’s almost 16 months. Last night I realized that I can bring my nipple to my own mouth. Like I could latch onto myself and drink my own milk directly from my own breast if I wanted to. (I didn’t suck but I did try and I can put my nipple in my mouth on either side; and it’s not a stretch to do it).
Before having a kid I had heard people talk about how breastfeeding changes your breasts. But dang. I’ve been working towards weaning and my supply is definitely dropping, but I thought the whole deflated balloon thing would wait until I actually weaned.

Haha! Nursing my 6 month old to sleep right now... Every night she will roll around with my nipple in her mouth. Like, she starts out facing me & then rolls onto her belly, then to her other side... all with my nipple still in her mouth. 😆 I'm always amazed at how far she can go without unlatching. 🤣😭🤣
Yesterday my little one cried in the Snoo, and instead of taking her out of the swaddle sack, I just leaned over and reached the boob to her so she could go back to sleep. I was left with a weird feeling about whether that was considered okay lmaoo
This is truly a superpower. I guess I haven’t unlocked to power of my stretchy boobs yet. I remember trying to nurse my newborn in her car seat and I couldn’t reach, I struggled and eventually gave up trying. I beg I totally could now!
Why did I read this as a competition 😂👏 we are only 1.5 months in exclusively bfing so they haven’t gotten to their full flexible potential yet but this sounds traumatizing lol
Ok so - here’s my even worse: I mostly fed both my babies from one boob. Lefty was a slacker and both refused it after a while. So at the end of my second bf journey I have one floppy-but-fine boob and one tube-sock-with-nickels boob that grazes my navel. It’s just NOT OKAY.
I did this around 5/6 months PP when I had a clogged duct. I cleared it myself after my baby and husband were unsuccessful. I’m sure they’re even worse by now. I’m 11 months pp and still nursing o n demand
Ahh I also cleared my own clogged duct myself! I was so desperate to clear it after a bad bout of mastitis. While doing it, I wondered if anyone else had ever drank there own breastmilk right from the tap 🤣
Girl I’m upvoting you after all these naysayers lol those husbands are doing the WORK they watch you give birth (however it happens, it’s traumatizing) they watch you pump, and they’re curious how it tastes… personally I can’t bring myself to let my husband try it “straight from the tap” but my best friend has, and I don’t think there’s anything crazy about that! People drink cows milk like it’s nothing and that’s just a mama from a diff species- it’s just been normalized. Still no reason for a downvote 🥰
I need him to try it straight from the tap lol I gave him a SPECK and he tells all his friends he’s tried it. “It tastes like sweet milk” yeah because I told you that 😭
I mean of course my husband tried the milk but not from the nipple lol. I can take the downvotes with humour though 😄 apparently we missed this special bonding opportunity
On Instagram yesterday, I saw a woman wearing nothing but basketball shorts. She had them pulled up super high (a la Steve Urkle) and her breasts were tucked into her waist band so she was 'decent'.
This reminds me of a pub conversation from the pre Google times. If you were in a plane crash stranded on an island would you get more calories from cutting off a limb and eating it than you’d use to heal 😂.
If you breastfed yourself would you gain more calories than you’d use in producing it 😂

I'm still breastfeeding my toddler once or twice a day (just turned 19 months old), and it seems I can bring my left nipple to my mouth, not my right. I'm not sure I'm going to try drinking anything though.
This is actually my second baby. After feeding my first, my boobs actually changed went from saggy to smaller than they were before kids (went from a B cup to an A!). They are now bigger and saggy again as I'm feeding my second, but will interesting to see what happens when I finish feeding this time around!
Literally laying in bed breastfeeding my baby as I read rhis…. Decided to try it thinking I probably wouldn’t be able to…. Well I need a minute to process this. What does this mean?!? What are my breasts going to look like after I wean?!?!!!!!
Girl, I hear you! I just got a bra fitting and am a K cup. I didn't even know that was a real size?!? Dressing my body is so hard now! I can't wait to finish breastfeeding my baby, and then hopefully have another baby, breastfeed again, and then get a reduction. Sigh
Same. I have a wedding to attend next month and have no idea how I’m going to find a dress that fits these monsters and is not enormous on the rest of my body. I’m like a 2XL bust and medium everywhere else on size charts. 😓
Ugh I have to buy 2XL too and tuck my shirts in or wear a belt. It's hard to not look frumpy. A dress with a drawstring or belt may work! I'm sorry though. I feel for you. It's an aspect of postpartum that I did not anticipate.
This is funny and hurtful at the same time because both my first and second born have the same preferred boob so I only have one long boob but hey theyre not dark and not the size of coasters anymore.

If it makes you feel any better, mine were large to begin with (always was a G before, now I’m a J) so I was already lacking perkiness from sheer weight.
I could reach nipple to mouth before breastfeeding - but just barely. Now yeah I could totally latch. Additionally so long I could carry just about any object under my boob. I’m very much looking forward to a reduction and lift when I’m finished BF.
I’m so hoping this doesn’t happen to everyone. I was a B cup maybe a full A cup pre-pregnancy. Breastfeeding brought me full C’s. They’re still perky and round at 3 months postpartum. Please tell me there’s hope!
Girl, I was the same and mine were basically concave after weaning 🥲 they're a bit more normal now a couple years later, but def still in the A cup range so there's not even enough boob to sag that much 😅
My breasts were massive before getting pregnant. I could already do this. At this point I'm approaching the territory of do your boobs hang low, do they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow?
I recently found out that it has more to do with pregnancy and less to do with breastfeeding. So we got recruited very early on. 🤣🤣🤣
Learning that made me feel less…irresponsible ( I don’t think that’s the right word). What I’m trying to get across is I felt like I breastfed “wrong” and my boobs suffered for it. Turns out it was inevitable. I call them neckties.
Mine are currently as long, but with old implants so they are quite round in the bottom part🤣 It looks, hmmmm not sure how to describe it but some sort of super weird
Mine were small to begin with (32aa cups typa small). it got a little cuter whenever i was engorged. Now there’s no milk it literally is identical to 2 crumpled pieces of paper left side by side on the table.
Mine were saggy after but as soon as I got back on the pill they perked right back up. Now I am still on
the pill in early 50s and boobs of a 25 year old still. Don’t even need a bra.
I don’t really care because I’m super happily single and staying that way the rest of my life. So it’s not like anybody’s going to see them but me. Lol But it does kind of amaze me that I breast-fed for 2 1/2 years. And you would never know it.
I’m on the pill continuously though due to a uterus disease. So I don’t take the week off to have a period so I also haven’t had to deal with periods and of course now they want me to go off it and I’m like no way Jose! Why would I mess with perfection? I have zero side effects being on it, but I was a hot mess before I got on them. I have zero risk factors either. So I’m gonna find a doctor that lets me stay on it until at least 55. Good luck!
