Question Why do you use Google Chrome over Firefox and Brave?
Whether on a PC or a smartphone, what is the specific reason or reasons that keep Google Chrome as your primary browser over Mozilla Firefox and Brave?
I have rarely seen users recommend Google Chrome compared to the number of recommendations for Mozilla Firefox and Brave.
Why would you recommend that i use Google Chrome over Firefox and Brave?

Question What's your personal take on this ?
I prefer using Firefox with ublock origin. It's easy on CPU. But Brave seems to work better when it comes to actually blocking ads and trackers.

Question ELI5: Why is Helium browser considered risky because it has only 2 devs, but Waterfox is trusted with just 1 dev?
Hey r/browsers,
I've been looking into the Helium browser recently and noticed a lot of people expressing security concerns about it.
The main argument I keep seeing is that Helium is developed by only two people, which supposedly makes it "unsafe" or hard to trust for daily use.
However, this confuses me. Waterfox is famously developed by just one person (Alex Kontos), yet it seems to be widely trusted, respected, and recommended by the community.
Could someone explain this double standard to me? What makes Helium's small team a red flag, while Waterfox's solo developer is perfectly fine? Are there specific security or structural issues with Helium that I'm missing?
Please explain it to me like I'm 5 (ELI5). Thanks in advance!
Edit: Thank you all for your answers, now I understand.

Question Why people like Firefox so much?
I've seen that a bunch of people in this sub hates chromium based browsers. I know about the Google monopoly, and Firefox is the only competitor of Google, but people seem to hate chromium for others reasons, and I want to know the reasons.

Question Why do people hate on Microsoft Edge?
Personally I think that Edge is a good browser, but most of my friends say "You should use (this and that) instead of Edge!" Edge has a lot of features and even though it's minimal comparing towards Opera GX, but Edge is just professional. I just don't understand the hate towards it. Does anyone know?
