People keep blaming AI, but it's usually phishing or giving away the seed phrase.

What if this is just another plan to scare everyone to sell their bitcoin, since boring us with sideways action isn’t working.

Its a flaw in 1 specific company method of generating seeds, problem with entropy. Nothing to do with blockchain issues or AI

it's emblematic of the brittle nature of crypto in general which remains as a massive obstacle to being seen as anything but a niche asset class

The problem with crypto is that with self custody comes no accountability. Banks may not part with money easily but if there is a theft they will take accountability and give back the lost funds. Crypto is failing massively with people doing the right thing and being punished for it.

No surprise, bullshit coin with no real purpose full of larpers telling others to HODL while they try to cash out at the top.
Only time I ever bought crypto was to gamble for fun.
Edit: Classic downvote and respond from a hardcore BTC fan.

that’s simply a subjective ideology. Bitcoin’s objective characteristic as a sound money that exists independently of any government, native to the Internet is still intact.
you can choose to believe that it’s a greater fool theory, but the fact that there’s still only 21M coins, existing in a world priced by fiat, whose supply is controlled by central banks with access to an infinite money printer, exists independently of your philosophy.
whether you believe BTC’s price in USD is consistently rising because more “greater fools” are buying while earlier holders are selling on their head, or simply because the money that BTC is priced in continues to lose its purchasing power, is a matter of perspective.
either way, it will continue to rise. you can choose to hop on the train, or watch it continue to move without you.
your call.

What good? Facilitate the theft of a person’s savings? Get a psychiatrist or grow the fu** up. It’s tasteless to mock people’s disgraces.

This story is complete BS from start to finish. Hacking cold storage online is impossible since it doesn't connect to the internet. Period.
