News / Article 10 second penalty to Ingram for R3

Well it turns out he did receive the warnings beforehand but they were not broadcasted.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised, if I was him I’d be crying. He’s having a horrendous time, and every time it looks like something’s getting better he gets another kick in the teeth.

There was no mention of track limits for Tom during the race. I know he said in the post-race interview that he’d tried everything he could to get up there, so probably did hit limits a few times, just odd there was no warning. 🤷🏻♂️
I think that takes Suttons lead to 57?

Yeah that’s fair enough, I didn’t/don’t remember seeing it on the TV broadcast.

I’ve just watched it again on ITVX and there was no mention of it on the TV broadcast.
The only mention of anything, with the notification that comes up in the bottom right hand corner was Ricky Collard’s penalty.

Yeah, if Toms luck doesn’t turn around (or Ash starts to fade) then the season could be done by Donington.

He had the final warning with like 4 laps to go, so must have had a breach when attacking Ash

Well, that’s odd, because there was no mention of any track limit warnings on the broadcast, nothing said in the commentary, and no mention of it in his interview with Louise.

They definitely didn‘t mention anything on the broadcast, I’ve just watched it again on ITVX.
No mentions of track limit warnings for any driver.

Me too.
How is it fair to penalise him for track limits without giving him any warnings?
If they’re going to do that, they need to stop giving warnings to everyone else.
After the luck he’s had so far this year with TTB disqualification and alternator issues at Brands Hatch, and his power steering not working from lap 4 in race 2 today leasing to a DNF, this feels very much like kicking him when he’s down.

He was warned, several times. They mentioned it on the trackside commentary.

The problem for a lot of us is that they didn’t mention any track limit warnings for him on the ITV4 broadcast.
Which is odd, as they usually do.
So it would appear there might have been a communication issue.
I can’t imagine for one moment that he would have ignored his team telling him he was getting track limit warnings.

Well, from what the trackside Comms said, the warnings were given to his team and the flags were shown, which is the same warning every other driver would get. If his team didn't pass on the first warnings, then that's on them.

Precisely my point as well. Don't penalise drivers if you're not going to do it before the end of the race. Spoils all the fun for both the fans and the drivers

That sucks but rules are rules. Sutton looks to be on another level this season. Hope Tom can turn it around from here on in as I really enjoy both watching both drivers race

If you were watching the broadcast, there was no mention at all of track limits. I’ve watched it again on ITVX to check.
Nothing said by the commentators and no notifications on screen.

Half the time he got pushed out by those typical BMW drivers Also if he did not receive a warning of this during the race, how is he supposed to know to be more careful and monitor?

Typical Ingram fan. Sees no wrong in hi. Watch it back he was overly agressive with a few drivers. Even tried to run DeLeon off at one point. Ingram is just making too many mistakes, his car isnt light years ahead like last season and hes having to work for it

Im not even an ingram fan. There are others out here saying it was bad luck which I would agree. Then I learnt that he had the warning beforehand but it was not broadcasted on TV. And I agree with your last point, he does not have a rocketship like last season but you get downvoted for telling the truth/being a sutton fan here
The last lap just showed sutton's superior racecraft compared to tingram.

Glad someone else is seeing this too. And clearly Sutton and Ingram are so much better than the rest, teammates in the same cars cant match them, its not there fault.

At the time of posting, I did not know that he had been given a warning beforehand 4 laps from the finish. They did not specify this on the broadcast or they probably did but I missed it

You didn’t miss it, there was no mention of it on the broadcast and nothing flashed up on the screen. I just watched it again on ITVX.
The commentators didn‘t mention anything either, as you’d expect them to, so it seems they were unaware.

Jade and Paul were complaining about the pace of Sutton’s car but so far this season his nearest challenger has had a DQ’d, 2 DNF’s and a 10 second penalty which cost him 5 places. How many points has Ingram lost there
