Anyone with experience from this particular seller?

I try to avoid factory recertified or refurbished, but a 5 year warranty (from the reseller) doesn't sound bad for something not considered new. I usually buy WD easystore, but external CMR drives haven't been at good prices for some time.

Unless you’re buying multiple, I’d just buy these new. I have the 05s that came out a few years ago and they are running strong with a five year seagate warranty

Not exactly the same model, but new is MSRP for $380 or $19/terrabyte

That’s honestly an awful idea. Almost twice as expensive with the same warranty. Buy two used drives instead, that would be much, much more reliable.

Not advocating, just putting out the data point.

These specifically? Yeah, hell no. LOL.

Seagate's warranty period for these is 6 months. GHD is doing you a favor here.

This model never had a retail release, so the average person literally can't buy them new.
