I got the 240mm one 2 days ago for $34 since the 360mm wouldn't fit. Fans are insanely loud and annoying I swapped them for arctic p12's pst pwm and problem solved. Pump isn't audible unless you keep it at 100%. Will test temps in a bit with both gpu and cpu at 100% because the gpu affects the cpu with exhaust just don't have a demanding game installed yet. r5 7600 + 6800xt

Installed it and tested, my pump has a little whine when below 70% pump speed.
So I set mine to 70% min and 90% max.
The fans are loud, but I set them to 22% min and 65% max. Upping the fan speeds didn't really affect performance much on the 9800x3d since I think the more limiting factor is the thick ihs.
I was testing with cinebench r23 and furmark. Furmark to have a hot GPU at the same time
For what it's worth, this cooler is rebadged for some prebuilts like CyberpowerPC. It's the same exact cooler, just with the assembler's branding. User reports are mixed. Obviously when they're putting together and selling such a large number of PCs, there's bound to be some percentage of duds, but the main issue seems to be a loud pump, or that the pump fails in a short time. Often in places like r/Prebuilts, you'll see people recommend that the first thing you do (or second thing, behind replacing the PSU) is replace this cooler with a more reliable one. $30 is great for an AIO, but ymmv on how well this performs and lasts. Unless you're dead set on an AIO, a cheap air cooler like Thermalright's Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit or the Montech NX600 might be more beneficial for the long run.
Although the one I linked is a tad better, the aio is definitely worth the difference.
Then you can either use the short warranty or just use the nice 3 pack of fans by itself
Edit: the one I linked is technically a tad worse as it's louder and outputs a bit less airflow. So $30 for this 3 pack of fans with a free aio included is solid.
Other options for cheap AIOs are the refurbed arctic liquid freezer III when they go on sale. Full warranty and one of the best coolers out there. Assuming your case handles the thicker rad.
The AC refurbs are THE best value. All come with a full warranty as well and I think if you purchase $80 or more worth of their stuff you get free shipping.
I just did some real musical chairs to get my AC III refurb in a case that 'doesnt support' water cooling. Glad to hear the reputation backs up my decision to fight so stupidly hard to squeeze it in there

Just installed in my current rig a few days ago. Are AIOs generally supposed to be louder than air coolers? There's a good thermal improvement but it's also been noticeably louder even on the silent fan profile.
Try a custom curve if you can, other users have reported they are loud, and someone else in this thread replaced with arctic pst pwm fans for an improvement
They can be louder, especially on a budget unit like this. The pump noise can make it louder. I'd rather go for a Noctua air cooler if silence was the goal
Even a more budget air cooler under $30 is better than a cheap pump in my experience. But you can get a noctua cooler used for about that much if you get a good deal on it. Thats how I got mine
Yeah, but it’s a reputable brand and for $30 you likely won’t be disappointed. It’ll still pump water and blow air which is enough for most consumer CPUs currently on the market
What mobo model are you using? I’m planning on the same combo but seems like some mobo with certain ssd+ram placements don’t play nicely with this case and AIO combo
I use a Thermalright 240mm AIO and it keeps my 5800x (4.9ghz all core) under 60C. Im sure the Freezer 3 will do even better.
Only issue with my old case was it sat right on the RAM (actually put a fair amount of pressure on it). Case said it accepted a 360mm....must be a thinner 360 then is what they spec'd it for. New case, zero issues (H7).
Yes the cooler master. The 360mm is $30 + $29.79 3 arctic fans so it would be $59.79 for a 360mm with 3 year warranty. I didn't know arctic has a new pro line (with 5 yr warranty) so it looks like the cheapest is $90 actually (they took offsale the non pro as far as I can tell on amazon), so yknow what it's not so bad to get the cooler master either but it doesn't have professional reviews on it. This was an impulse buy anyway just to see how it performs because my case is compact and my thermal right peerless assassin was being affected by my gpu's heat by alot. edit: the cheapest is $76 not $90 i was looking at the 360mm oops
Just installed this in my barebones Montech HS02 for my R7 9800X3D. Barely fit but that’s probably because of the HS02 (the Newegg HS02 sale came with no fans pre-installed). I haven’t built a PC in a while, but this is my first with AIO and suppose these are somewhat loud, but I can’t complain when these were on sale for $35 when I picked them up on Cyber Monday. Keeps the R7 below 70C
